Work History

July 1998: Worked as a trainee fascia, soffit, cladding and guttering installer for Wessex Roofline, based in Ash Vale, Hampshire. He also gained experience in erecting tower access platforms.

February 1999: Worked as a trainee fascia, soffit, cladding and guttering installer for Three Counties Roofing based in Fleet, Hampshire. Progressed to lead installer and also undertook other aspects of roofing work; roof moss removal, mortar work, repairs to tiled roofs, gutter/rainwater system repairs and maintenance.

November 2004: Started self-employment as a sole trader under the name “Daniel Weadley”. Also took on one full-time employee. Services offered were:

• Roofline Upvc fascia, soffit, guttering and cladding installations.
• Roof gutter repair and maintenance.
• Mortar work, such as re-bedding ridge, verge and valley tiles to new sand/cement mortar.
• Other repairs to tiled roofs, such as replacing broken tiles.
• Removing roof moss via traditional methods (no pressure washing) and treating the roof with a preventative biocide.
• Exterior cleaning of roofline fascia/soffits and guttering.

December 2015: Career changed to project manager and secondary, as a digital content creator, producing content for online publications (freelance) in the home improvement/maintenance sector.

December 2024: Created “Mister Moss” a small business specializing in roof moss removal and treatment covering 15 miles from Camberley, Surrey. Reason for switching career back to roofing work: AI (artificial intelligence) has changed how people get information and monetizing digital content (articles, guides, how-to, videos etc) is no longer a viable business model. With a shortage of reliable roofers in the UK, this switch made sense.
